Wake up call for humanity: A true story
The Question
S.O.U.L Academy came through via a vision on March 30, 2010: Shiri Joshua was on her way to see a
client (a horse and his human) outside of Vancouver, B.C. As she
travelled down the highway, her car passed by a truck filled to capacity
with... chickens. They were cramped into tiny cages and it was
quite obvious where they were headed. Wishing to expand on her work of
service to animals and humanity, Shiri felt her heart break, and out
loud spoke the words: "Please show me how I can help change your fate?!"
The Answer
Within moments, a neon-like sign flashed before her eyes that read: "S.O.U.L. Society." Before she could fully "catch" the vision, Shiri also heard a calm, soothing voice as if coming from the chickens themselves slowly stating: "COMPASSION WILL CHANGE OUR FATE!"
The Explanation
“When those who harm another being begin to see their own self reflected back through the eyes of those around them, they will begin to expand their heart with compassion, and join one another in collaboration for the greatest good. From this state of compassion and connection to others, they will begin to experience the sense of Oneness with all life, and the equality of rights for all beings and species.."

Bringing Animal Wisdom to Human Life
We've all seen many examples of animals being rescued from abusive conditions, only to wag their tails or express gratitude and joy in their own way upon being found. In their non judgmental nature, the animals bring us opportunities upon opportunities to practice forgiveness, love, and compassion towards them, ourselves, and others.
S.O.U.L. stands for: Service. Oneness. Unity. Love - some of the virtues that we can learn from our kinship with the animals (along with: playfulness, trust, acceptance, etc.') on healing our mind and body. The challenge is so that we don't just notice these lessons and keep them to ourselves, but rather so that we embody this wisdom as a way of life, and begin to share it with our own human community, creating a 'S.O.U.L. Society' through a ripple effect of goodness, honoring all of Creation!

There is more to this important message from the animals, it is about the healing of the world!
The world is changing fast these days, and the old ways of living and being are collapsing. In order to usher what is emerging and help change our fate and that of the animals' we are encouraged to step into a new paradigm "Heaven on earth."
How?
It is not enough to have the knowledge of Oneness with all life... By having a glimpse of the innocence in another living being - even for a split second - we have an experience of Oneness by seeing our own self reflected back through their eyes. This does not mean that we are all the same or that we naively go about the world without boundaries, opinions, or individual personalities; rather, it is about recognizing in others the spark of the Divine holy essence from which we were all created, and about seeing their inner light beyond the surface of a particular action or behavior. Much like how our companion animals look at us - through the eyes of adoration and love - we too are able to see others in such a way. From there we can have a deeper appreciation of the interconnectivity that makes the web of life. A miracle happens then: a shift in perception, awareness, and thus actions. Hurt onto other beings can no longer take place in this state of shared Oneness, and indeed we see that choosing Compassion changes the fate of those who do harm and those being harmed. Offering Unconditional Love towards another is a very healing experience and is what becoming enlightened or Christ-like really means. The animals of course teach us this all the time...

Christ Consciousness and Animal Wisdom
Christ Consciousness is not about religion; it is the new emerging way of life. It speaks of choosing Love and compassion instead of fear and hurt, and of seeing the essence of God in all. The message received from the animals is quite similar indeed! It challenges us to choose again, choose differently and look with our heart and see someone as a "fellow brother" rather than a separated body to be used or abused. This helps us remember the truth of our existence - that we are all beloved children of Life and therefore the same at the core regardless of the physical form.
From this point it is understandable how we will be able to live on earth as the image and manifestation of the Divine Intelligence and thus help change our fate and theirs. Imagine that!!
The Response
This insight has taken nearly two years to come into full awareness. We are now at the dawn of 2012 and a deeper understanding is now becoming solid in terms of what S.O.U.L. Academy wishes to offer the world and what the animals are asking humanity to consider. Yet at the time of receiving this guidance (in 2010), Shiri needed to park the car and find
her breath to take in the magnitude of the experience and its
implication. When ready, she asked for further guidance and
confirmation. It came the very next day in the most surprising form: A
front-page cover article (Vancouver Sun) of a dolphin trader who had 'a change of heart'
and is now dedicating his life to saving, advocating, and releasing
pods of dolphins back to the wild! Shiri knew that there was purity and
truth to the vision she received and humbly accepted her part in the cosmic plan.
When we shine our Light upon the world through our joy and fulfillment and extend unconditional love to
one another (even once per day), we are able to contribute to the greater good, and celebrate the Divinity of our existence!
