What does S.O.U.L. stands for?
S.O.U.L. stands for Service. Oneness. Unity. Love (see below more info); some of the spiritual virtues that we can learn from the animals and our kinship with them. The vision is to unite as many people as possible around the globe as ambassadors of a new "S.O.U.L. Society" for the benefit of all.
The name came through to Shiri Joshua, our founder in 2010 after watching chickens on their way to be killed (See here how their story inspired this vision). It was Shiri's wish to take her part in helping more humans awaken to Unity and Oneness with all life and end cruelty by allowing a peaceful co-existence for all.
Can you imagine what the world would be like if more people remember the simple truth that all of Creation is equal to one another as the glorious manifestation of Life itself?!
Selfless Service: Examples from the animals -
What is Selfless service? It certainly does not mean having no self or no boundaries, or forgetting ourselves for the sake of pleasing another (this is "enmeshment" and is a psychologically unhealthy situation). Rather Selfless Service means viewing the needs of another as equal to your own, and offering to help without calculations of personal gain. Selfless Service also means the willingness to even risk your life for the sake of helping another, without the thought of "what's in it for me?" - in fact, without any thought at all! ... We've seen many examples of animals risking their lives for the sake of their humans or even other animals (see clips below), teaching us about Selfless Service!

Oneness with all Life -
It is not enough to have the knowledge of Oneness with all life... By having a glimpse of the innocence in another living being - even for a split second - we have an experience of Oneness. This does not mean that we are all the same or that we naively go about the world without boundaries, opinions, or individual personalities, but by seeing our own self reflected back through the eyes of those we look upon we begin to see others beyond the obvious surface, behaviors, dis-ease, or actions. It is simply the ability to observe the inner light within others by looking through the loving eyes of Source.
Unity with Source -
As we learn to look through a compassionate heart at all living beings, and realize our Oneness and interconnectedness with all Life, we are able to heal the prevailing sense of separation in the world and move into Unity with Source / Creator / God (whatever God means for you). This is where eternal life goes on and on in the name of those we love. The animals then are our bridge to eternal Love; if we are awake enough to pay attention!
This is how we can help change their fate and ours, creating a new paradigm of "S.O.U.L. Society" or "Heaven on earth. See here more info on Unity Consciousness
Unconditional Love -
"Teach only love, and learn that love is yours and you are love..." ~ A Course in Miracles
We believe that animals teach us many lessons; amongst them is of course Unconditional Love.
Many people feel deeply alive and joyous when they are around animals or share a special bond with companion ones. Unconditional Love is what we all need and desire! We should all be loved just for who we are, not what we do or what we have or do not have. Companion animals simply (temporarily) remind us that we are Love by offering its nectar to us for the sake of giving us what we deserve, so that we can then demonstrate it to others.
When an animal (or a human) that we were deeply connected to passes away, some people often experience a "withdrawal" of Love. Convinced that they can not find it elsewhere in the world, many feel the burden of grief, depression, and isolation... Yet Love is all around and within us. It is what we were created from - it is our blueprint! If you were blessed enough to have received the gift of unconditional love - share it onward! Pass it on, and make a difference in someone's life in honor of your beloved!
