S.O.U.L. Academy and A Course in Miracles: The Connection
What is A Course in Miracles (ACIM)?
"A Course in Miracles" (ACIM) is a comprehensive text of "Universal Principles" and profound spiritual teachings published by the Foundation for Inner Peace. The text can be seen as a transformational self-study guide or a form of life-changing psychotherapy. Its principles suggest a new way of looking at the world - where unconditional love, compassion, and unity with the Creator reign. The text also offers a 365 daily exercises to train the mind to "unlearn" its previous perceptions and see things differently: not through the eyes of the ego but rather through the eyes of forgiveness. This is called "moving from perception to True Vision."
Can you imagine what the world would be like if more people remember the simple truth that all of Creation is equal to one another as the glorious manifestation of Life itself?!
ACIM's principles are not affiliated with any particular religion. In fact, the text itself indicates that it is not "a religion," and not the only truth. There are no Gurus, idols, or strict methods to follow. Rather it offers an invitation to a self-study forum and daily practices as a way to tap into our intuitive knowing, open up to the voice of guidance, and find peace through coming home to our Divine Selves.
What is the connection to the animals then?
Since S.O.U.L. Academy was inspired by the animals' plea for humanity,
the aim is to offer a link between ACIM's teachings and similar lessons
brought about by our kinship with animals - on being of Service,
Oneness with all life, Unity with the Creator, and unconditional eternal
Love. By embracing these lessons as a way of life we are not only able
to grow spiritually, but also make a difference on a global level in
translating their wisdom back into our own human community!
For Example: We believe that animals teach us many things. Amongst them are lessons on: Selfless Service (see below), Unity with Spirit / Creator, Oneness with all life, and of course Unconditional Love. It is our responsibility then to not only keep these lessons to ourselves, but also to offer these virtues to one another - human to human. This is how we can change their fate and ours, and honor the animals' gifts to us in life and beyond!

What is Selfless Service? - Examples from nature (and a lot for us to learn from)
Selfless service does not mean having
no-boundaries, or forgetting ourselves for the sake of pleasing another
(this is "enmeshment" and is a psychologically unhealthy situation).
Rather, Selfless Service means viewing the needs of another as equal to
