"A Course in Miracles" (ACIM) is a deep, effective, and practical spiritual-psychotherapy system based on Universal Principles. It offers a comprehensive self-study curriculum of profound metaphysical teachings for achieving inner peace regardless of worldly conditions through removing blocks to happiness. This is done through "mind-training" of undoing the ego's voice (our fearful mind), experiencing true forgiveness, and shifting our view of ourselves, others, the world, or circumstances from fear to love. ACIM was published by the Foundation for Inner Peace in 1976 after seven long years of dictation by its scribe, Dr. Helen Schucman. Its teachings have touched millions around the world (incl. Oprah, Wayne Dyer, Marianne Williamson, Ekhart Tolle, Louise Hay, and others) and continue to transform lives daily!

The course is being studied all over the world by individuals or peer groups. Although it uses traditional Christian terms to describe our individual inner teacher (referred to as "Christ," or "Holy Spirit"), the Course is not a religion and is not affiliated with any particular dogma. It's daily lessons and metaphysical teachings speak of Christ Consciousness in a spiritual-metaphysical way. Through this course we learn a system for managing anxiety, depression, loneliness, fear, and past traumas by applying Miracles to any situation. Essentially, its teachings are all about unconditional love - just as the animals demonstrate! (see below).

S.O.U.L. Academy was inspired by the animals' teachings for humanity about compassion and love. They have asked that we learn to see them and all living beings as fellow "brothers and sisters" in the light of Creation, and through that - to help usher in a "new earth." The aim is to offer a link between ACIM's teachings and similar lessons brought about by the animals and our kinship with them. These also include: being of Service, Oneness with all life, Unity with the Creator, and unconditional eternal Love. These virtues make the new paradigm of "Unity / Christ Consciousness" as humanity is transitioning into a "new society." By embracing these lessons as a way of life we are not only able to grow spiritually, but also make a difference on a societal and global level!
S.O.U.L. Academy's teachings basically share that animals, as all forms of life, were also created as beloved children of the Creator and thus are our fellow brothers and sisters on earth. In fact, we believe that animals are here to teach us important virtues on similar lessons that ACIM speaks about - pointing the way for us back to the heart of God.
